Tickets on sale for 'Mary Poppins'
"Mary Poppins" will be in Appleton March 6-11.
The stage adaptation of the Disney film will be staged at the Fox Cities PAC, 400 W. College Ave., Appleton.
"Mary Poppins" is one of the biggest musical successes to emerge from London or New York in recent years, according to an event press release. To date, the show has grossed more than $644 million and played to more than 9 million viewers worldwide.
It won 44 major theater awards around the globe, including Tony, Olivier, Helpmann and Evening Standard awards.
The entire original creative team reunited to bring "Mary Poppins" to North America. The tour started on March 25, 2009, and has played to 2 million theatergoers in 34 cities.
"Mary Poppins," which opened on Broadway on Nov. 16, 2006, is based on P.L. Travers' stories and the classic 1964 Walt Disney film. The stage play features Academy Award-winning music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman.
Shows will be held Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday in Appleton.
